Protection From Abuse

On July 7, 2016 in the Johnson County District Court Mogenson & Branson, LLC once again went to trial to protect rights of our client.
Michael S. Mogenson was lead counsel in the Protection From Abuse action brought against our client. The case hinged upon the statutory language of the PFA law and precedent set forth by the Kansas Supreme Court and Court of Appeals. After Mr. Mogenson presented the defense, which included research citing the appropriate cases, opposing counsel advised the Court that he was unaware of the cases being cited and asked for a copy. Mr. Mogenson obliged.
After a short recess to review the cases cited as well as the law, the Court dismissed the action against our client. The rights of our client were once again preserved.
